Why we love it
Door County has so many wonderful places to buy local fish, and our favorite close to home is Henriksen’s Fish House. It is centrally located, always a stop we look forward to, and a perfect place to pick up fresh whitefish for a true Door County meal.
We also love their smoked salmon, fish dips, shrimp, scallops, Ahi tuna, and all the other seafood options that make it easy to bring something delicious home. Hickey Brothers is a great choice farther south, and Charlie’s Smokehouse is a classic up north—but Henriksen’s is our go-to.
Fun fact: Henriksen’s Fish House was also featured in last year’s A Cherry Pie Christmas holiday movie, adding a little extra Door County charm to an already special place.
