Why we love it

If you are looking for a little off-the-beaten-path hike near Sister Bay, Harold C. Wilson Three Springs Nature Preserve is a beautiful choice. Managed by the Door County Land Trust, this peaceful preserve has an easy, roughly 1.75-mile trail that winds through open fields, conifer forest, historic stone fences, and remnants of an old homestead.

The trail finishes at a scenic overlook of the springs and wetlands—an ideal spot for birdwatching, wildlife viewing, and simply soaking in the quiet beauty of Door County. It is free, diverse, and only about two miles outside of Sister Bay.
